JobStart is a community based, not-for-profit agency that has been serving job seekers and employers in the GTA since 1980, by connecting individuals looking for work with employers looking to hire. The agency delivers free employment services to adults, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, and youth. JobStart serves 8000 individuals annually and receives 66,000 visits at its Employment Resource Centre. JobStart offers employers complimentary recruitment, applicant screening, job-matching, work placement services, and apprenticeship programs.
