Daniel Mayer joined JobStart’s Board in November 2013. He assumed the role of Board President on June 21, 2017. Daniel was the acting Board Secretary from April 2014 to April 2015 and assumed the role of Board Secretary on April 30, 2015. Daniel is a Bilingual Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office, Civil of the Ministry of the Attorney General. His bilingual practice focuses on administrative law and regulatory negligence litigation as well as grievance arbitration in the education sector. Daniel is also a member of the Official Languages Committee of the Ontario Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of Franco-Fête de Toronto.
Lauralea Mast joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in June 2013. She assumed the role of Board Vice President on April 1, 2017. Lauralea is a senior marketing professional with over 25 years of strategic media, advertising and research experience in the financial services industry and many other business and consumer goods categories. She has successfully run her own company, Lauralea Mast Media, since 2005. Lauralea has served on several other nonprofit boards; as Board President for her son’s daycare and as a member of his high school Fund Raising Committee. She has also taught at Sheridan College to first year students. Lauralea is a mentor in The Mentoring Partnership (TMP) program delivered by JobStart and other member agencies, in partnership with Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC).               

Rob Glube joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in June 2015. Rob assumed the roll of Board Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee on June 21, 2017. Rob is currently a Commercial Finance and Business Intelligence Manager at Labatt Breweries of Canada LP where he manages the financial position and market analysis of the Mike's Beverage business unit. Rob also works on strategic initiatives to deliver top line growth and positive returns on investment. Prior to joining Labatt, he worked as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an external auditor and advisor to several publicly traded companies in the financial services industry. Rob graduated from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University with a major in accounting and a minor in finance, and has since obtained his Chartered Accountant designation. In 2008, he worked at Youth Employment Services in Montreal within their Finance Department.

Janet LeClair joined JobStart’s Board in June 2014. She assumed the role of Board Secretary on June 21, 2017. Janet is a Senior HR Consultant with Stratford Managers Corporation and has broad expertise in human resources, finance and communications. With over 20 years’ experience working with academic administrators, researchers, clinicians, CEO’s and boards of directors she has worked both in the private and public sector -- all with a focus on innovation to advance knowledge for economic and social benefit. Janet has previously served on two boards: with BioTalent Canada for two consecutive 3-year terms and a year with the York Technology Association (now TechConnex). She recently completed Altruvest’s Governance Leadership Program; is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Business Administration Program and the Rotman School of Management’s Advanced Program in Human Resources, University of Toronto; she holds a Certified Human Resource Leader (CHRL) designation.

Janet became a mentor in The Mentoring Partnership (TMP) program, delivered by JobStart and other member agencies, in partnership with Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), in 2016.
Norman Woo joined JobStart’s Board in June 2010. He assumed the role of acting Treasurer and Co-Chair of the Finance Committee from October 2014 to June 2015. He is currently AVP, Corporate Development for Manulife Financial Corporation. Previously he was a Senior Manager in the Transaction and Restructuring Advisory practice of KPMG LLP where he provided valuations, corporate finance and financial reporting services to public and private companies, as well as the public sector. Norman graduated from the University of Waterloo, where he completed both an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics and a Master of Accounting. Norman is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuator designations.
Karl Pelowich joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in April 2017. Karl has been with TD Bank Financial Group since 2013 and is currently Associate Vice President (AVP), Human Resources and the HR Program Lead for the bank’s Finance Innovation Transformation where he is responsible for developing and implementing the talent management framework. Previously, Karl was AVP, Human Resources for North American Phone Channel & ATM where was responsible for the development and delivery of people strategies and led the HR elements of business planning and transformational programs for Contact Centre and Shared Services teams across North America. Prior to that Karl was AVP, Human Resources for Infrastructure Technology Solutions. Before joining TD, Karl was with BMO Financial Group where he held a variety of roles in Human Resources, Salesforce Effectiveness, Personal & Commercial Banking, Finance and the Contact Centre. Karl has a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a MBA from Dalhousie University.
Tosin Akinwekomi joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in April 2017. Tosin is a business professional with a keen sense for problem-solving developed over 9 years of experience in the Financial Services, Non-Profit and Public Sector. Tosin is currently a Management Consultant with Carly Rian Group (CRG), focused on providing operations strategy consulting support to clients in the Financial Services and Public Service sectors. Previously, Tosin worked at Bank of Montreal holding the positions of Senior Manager, Process Transformation, and Internal Audit Manager; and as a Financial Advisor for the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, where he supported the Settlement Contribution Program. Tosin co-founded and ran ('08-'16), Beam Inc., a non-profit that provided educational assistance to underprivileged children in Nigeria.

Tosin holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Ildiko Erdei joined JobStart’s Board in April 2017. She is a prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, currently focusing on drug prosecutions in the City of Toronto. Ildiko has previously acted as an immigration lawyer, also for the Government of Canada, specializing in refugee law, inadmissibility for criminality, and national security. She has an undergraduate and law degree from the University of Toronto, and a masters in law in international criminal law from the Irish Centre for Human Rights. Ildiko has travelled and lived abroad extensively, having worked previously for the United Nations and the Constitutional Court of South Africa. She has a passion for volunteerism, having volunteered for various organizations in Toronto and elsewhere.
Michelle Dodokin joined JobStart's Board in June 2017. She is a senior financial services executive with broad experience in strategy, operations, finance, communications and corporate social responsibility at leading Canadian companies. Michelle's has a range of social interests including housing, education, employment, nutrition, and fitness. Michelle holds an MBA from Western University and is an alumna of the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University.
Sindy Goodman joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in November 2017. She has worked in diverse union/non-union industries and has extensive HR experience (from start-up of new operations to mass termination/closure of operations and most things in between). Sindy served as a member of the Executive Board (Vice President) of the West Toronto Chapter of HRPA for 2 terms and during that time was an active participant on the Website Content Committee and the lead on the revision of the Chapter By-Laws. Sindy graduated from the University of Toronto and holds a Certified Human Resources Leader designation (CHRL).
