JobStart is an award winning, charitable not-for-profit organization with a vision to create innovative opportunities for successful and sustainable futures. By allowing clients and employers to participate in career and personal growth programs and services for nearly 40 years, we have achieved a rich history of excellence in community service.

Serving the Greater Toronto Area, JobStart provides a range of employment, mentoring, training, and settlement services to a diverse group of job seekers including adults, internationally trained professionals, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, seniors, students, women and youth at its three Toronto locations.  JobStart serves approximately 5,000 clients annually.

We take pride in connecting employers with job seekers who not only have the skills, but who are also the right fit for the organization. Our customer-centered approach has resulted in successful placements and long-term retentions. It has given us a resounding 97% customer satisfaction rate and 85% of clients find employment or enroll in further education and training.

Women Gaining Ground: We are raising funds to continue the strong impact this program made on the dozens of women it helped. This program is designed specifically for vulnerable and multi-barriered women to empower them with self-confidence and create a road-map for their individual success.

Persons with Disabilities: Employment matters, for supporting economic needs as well as social wellbeing. JobStart currently runs three programs to support the employment needs of persons with disabilities. To view these programs, click here please.


Youth Services: Precarious youth employment is on the rise, as jobs for young people are increasingly contractual or temporary. JobStart offers numerous program to support successful employment of youth. To learn more, click here please.


Newcomers to Canada: Many new immigrants commonly note that when starting life in a new country, it is hard to find suitable employment. JobStart offers numerous services from settlement to employment and mentoring. Click here for more information.


Volunteer Opportunities: JobStart regularly engages the generous support of volunteers to provide professional and career support for our clients.
