Workplace Essential Skills Training (WEST)
JobStart offers an 8-week program to help unemployed adults, who are currently receiving social assistance clarify career goals. Participants will develop an Action Plan that will identify next steps for: making life or career changes; linking to education or training; or obtaining work. In a group setting, participants will identify their skills, abilities, interest and values and will learn researching and networking skills. Throughout the program participants will build their confidence and develop skills to get them ready for the work environment. Participants will gain hands on experience during a 4-day placement at a local business.
Please check the Calendar for dates and times of WEST information sessions.
