Immigrant professionals have been helped to find work in Canada by our JSW program since 1999.

Groups run for 1 week, Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 41 Chauncey Avenue; 3 blocks south of Bloor, West of Islington.

Newcomer professionals benefits from:

  • Up to date labour market and occupational information
  • Training in effective job search techniques
  • Preparation of professional resumes and cover letters plus a personal action plan
  • Access to Employment Resource Centre computers, phones, faxes, and workshops
  • Support in their job for up to 3 months after their group ends

To participate you must:

  • Be over 24 years of age
  • A Landed Immigrant, Convention Refugee or Live-in Caregiver
  • Have little or no Canadian work experience
  • Be legally able to work in Canada
  • Speak good working English (at least Level 5)
